Terms of Use

By using Aangan you agree to be 18 or older, to follow the Community Guidelines, and to not misuse the platform for spam, scams, harassment, or illegal activity.

Service availability

We provide Aangan "as-is" — we'll do our best to keep it running but can't guarantee uptime. Your account may be suspended for violations of our Community Guidelines.

Businesses & orders

Aangan helps small local businesses get discovered and lets customers place orders with them. Aangan is a connection platform, not a seller. When you order through Aangan:

• The business is an independent operator. It — not Aangan — is responsible for its products, prices, availability, preparation, delivery, and customer service. Aangan does not sell, stock, prepare, or deliver anything.
• Aangan does not process payments. Payment is made directly between customer and business, by UPI, cash, or a link the business shares. Aangan never handles your money and takes no commission on orders. We are not responsible for payment disputes, refunds, or non-delivery — please raise these with the business directly through in-app chat.
• Businesses are responsible for their own compliance. A registered business confirms it holds the licences required for what it sells (for example, an FSSAI licence for food), lists accurate information, honours the orders it accepts, and handles customer data lawfully.

Content you post

You are responsible for what you post, whether as a community member or a business. Don't post anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or our Community Guidelines. If you see something that shouldn't be here, use the in-app report option or email aangansupport@gmail.com.

Governing law

Community Guidelines

"Aangan is a courtyard. Behave like you would in someone's home."

• Be kind to old friends. This is a place to reconnect, not relive grudges. Treat people the way you would in person, at a reunion.
• No abuse, harassment, or hate. Slurs, threats, or targeting based on caste, religion, gender, sexuality, region or anything else gets you removed immediately.
• No spam or scams. Network marketing, crypto pitches, "earn from home" stuff — keep it out. Genuine local businesses belong in the business directory, not in batch feeds.
• Use your real identity. Use your real name and a recognizable photo. Old friends should be able to find you. Impersonation gets you banned.
• Respect privacy. Don't share screenshots of someone's profile, status, or DMs without permission. Treat private chats with the same care you'd use offline.
• Report anything that shouldn't be here. Batch posts and members are reviewed by your batch admins first — if they don't respond in 48 hours, escalate via Settings → Help. Reports about a business listing or an order chat go straight to the Aangan team. You can also block another member or business owner from their profile, from a chat, or from Settings → Blocked users.
• Aangan is strictly 18+. Sexual content involving minors, grooming behaviour, or any exploitation of children is forbidden and will result in immediate ban and report to authorities.

Account & data

You own your data. You can access, correct, delete, or download it at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. Deleted accounts are permanently removed after a 14-day grace period.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally — significant changes will be communicated in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The current version and date are shown at the top of this page.
